Samantha Lodge serves as a Research Associate focusing on agriculture, budget and appropriations, education, elections, immigration, municipalities, and tax. She assists the lobbying team and clients by monitoring relevant legislation and regulation, covering Congressional hearings, drafting policy briefs, and assembling client activities reports. Samantha also prepares a Weekly Budget and Appropriations Roundup, which informs clients of the latest news and legislation related to the federal budget and appropriations process, as well as an Elections Roundup when appropriate.
Samantha joined Peck Madigan Jones in the early fall of 2015. Prior to joining the firm, she interned in House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s leadership office. Samantha graduated Cum Laude from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies and a minor in Economics. Samantha wrote her honors thesis on the underrepresentation of women in Congress, and is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society. She has also studied at Georgetown University, The Washington Center, The School for Field Studies, and the University of Queensland in Australia.
